A LITTLE CONTEXT
A price that works
for your goals.
Amounts are CAD. The official high-value article does not specify a CAD threshold, so this discount is unavailable here. Fee taxes require receipt amounts or explicit rates, including cross-border cases.
- 01
Start with your costs
Enter your item and other seller costs. Choose break-even, target profit or target margin.
- 02
Make the rates yours
Check your current Seller Hub rates. Add fee tax and seller costs when they apply.
- 03
Use your minimum price
Review the suggested price and fee breakdown. It meets your goal under the selected assumptions; any lower cent price does not.
GOOD TO KNOW
A few useful answers.
Does this include Premier Shop or my account promotion?
Standard category and tier presets do not automatically include account-specific discounts. Choose Custom rate and enter the effective commission shown in Seller Hub for your sale date. Do not apply an additional discount to a rate that already includes it. Custom rates cannot be combined with an unverified high-value discount here.
What price should I enter for coupons or combined shipping?
Use the final item sale price after seller-funded coupons, before buyer shipping and additional tax. Do not subtract the same coupon again as a seller cost. Estimate one charged sale at a time: shipping separately purchased items together does not make their processing fees a single fee. Refunds, giveaways, platform-funded credits and unmodeled promotions need their own receipt review.
What does break-even mean?
The lowest CAD item price that covers estimated Whatnot fees, your item cost and other entered seller costs. It excludes your own sales and income taxes. Shipping and tax paid by the buyer affect processing, but are not seller income.
Is profit margin the same as markup?
No. Profit margin is estimated profit divided by the item sale price. Markup divides by cost instead. This calculator finds a price for your chosen profit margin, using the unrounded target comparison.
Which fees does this country use?
Amounts are CAD. The official high-value article does not specify a CAD threshold, so this discount is unavailable here. Fee taxes require receipt amounts or explicit rates, including cross-border cases.
Does the suggested price change my commission tier?
No. Your selected current tier stays fixed. Choose a supported category and current tier in Rates & extra costs; a future sale does not automatically move you into another tier.
How are tax and discounts handled?
A percentage buyer tax scales with the suggested price; an entered tax amount stays fixed. Enter seller-fee tax separately. Discounts are opt-in and subject to the selected country, category, date and format. Unsupported cases show an explanation instead of an assumed discount.
Is this a guaranteed payout?
No. These schedules and receipt rounding are still under review. Results are estimates under the entered assumptions, not a guaranteed payout. If the goal is unreachable or a minimum cannot safely be established, no price is suggested.
