GOOD TO KNOW
A few useful answers.
Does this include Premier Shop or my account promotion?
Standard category and tier presets do not automatically include account-specific discounts. Choose Custom rate and enter the effective commission shown in Seller Hub for your sale date. Do not apply an additional discount to a rate that already includes it. Custom rates cannot be combined with an unverified high-value discount here.
What price should I enter for coupons or combined shipping?
Use the final item sale price after seller-funded coupons, before buyer shipping and additional tax. Do not subtract the same coupon again as a seller cost. Estimate one charged sale at a time: shipping separately purchased items together does not make their processing fees a single fee. Refunds, giveaways, platform-funded credits and unmodeled promotions need their own receipt review.
How do I enter sales tax?
Enter the additional sales tax rate charged to the buyer. The estimate applies it to the sale price; under Rates & extra costs you can include shipping in the taxable amount or enter the exact tax amount from a receipt instead. If tax is already included in your entered price, leave the additional rate at zero. This tool does not look up local tax rules or calculate your own tax liability.
What is the difference between proceeds and profit?
Seller proceeds are the item price minus commission, payment processing and modeled tax on seller fees. Profit also subtracts your item cost and other seller costs, before your own sales/income taxes. Leave item cost empty if you do not know it; the tool will show proceeds without inventing a profit figure.
Does payment processing include shipping and tax?
This estimate applies the processing rate to the item price plus buyer-paid shipping and buyer-paid tax, then adds the fixed fee. Buyer-paid shipping and tax are not added to your item revenue.
Which currency does the US calculator use?
This page uses USD. Keep every amount in that currency. Changing country opens a separate scenario; it does not convert your money.
Does this apply my commission tier automatically?
Choose your locked current tier under Rates & extra costs; category choices then use that tier's country-specific rate. Use Custom rate for a negotiated rate. Whatnot uses completed four-week periods to set the next period’s tier; crossing a threshold does not immediately change your current rate. The tool does not connect to your account or infer your current tier from this sale.
Can I calculate a high-value discount?
Enable the high-value option only for an eligible listing/show category. Coins and TCG are supported directly; sports, fashion and other collectibles require an eligible subcategory. Unsupported formats show an explanation. Commission is capped at the supported base; processing still uses the full buyer payment. The promotion is time-sensitive and needs regular source review.
How is tax on seller fees handled?
Enter the fee-tax amount on your receipt or separate applicable rates on commission and processing. This tool does not infer city/state/province rates or buyer-location tax rules. Buyer sales tax is a different input.
Are my sale amounts saved or sent anywhere?
